Nobles Hospital

Location: Isle of Man
Description:

This new build hospital was built to replace the old Noble’s Hospital, opened in 1912. The new hospital, located in Strang (Braddan) opened in July 2003. It was built to meet the needs of a growing and changing island. The new building accommodates 20 wards and has 314 beds. There are small enclosed courtyards and the main building has been designed to be spacious and light.

The ward blocks include all wards generally found in a large district hospital with the addition of a private patients wing, together with an Out Patients facility, acute surgery and Gynaecology wards. All Heating and Electrical services (excluding the Medical Gasses) were designed as ‘stand alone’ and not reliant upon the main Hospital Infrastructure.
