The proposal outlines a mixed use district comprising commercial, leisure, retail and residential accommodation and community facilities around the new National Stadium with the world famous Wembley Arena at its heart. The aim is the creation of a new, high quality urban environment that will make a significant contribution to London whilst integrating fully with its long-established surroundings. It will comprise a number of distinctive neighbourhoods built around an interconnected network of streets, squares and open areas.
