New Positions

We will shortly be looking for an Associate or Technical Director, (Mechanical or Electrical) based in our Manchester office.

The Role and Primary Responsibilities
As part of our growth plan we are currently looking for an exceptional Associate/Technical Director to join our team in Manchester.

You will be supporting the Director of the Manchester office, taking a leading role in the design, management and delivery of projects, with the support of the office Director. One of the key responsibilities will be to assist with business development and winning new work through an established network of contacts and attendance at networking events and meetings. You will have proven experience in the residential, commercial, hotel and mixed use sectors and will work on projects in other sectors too.

You will need to have a high degree of knowledge and ability in your own engineering discipline and a good knowledge of other related engineering disciplines and the ability to represent these at a strategic level on a project. You will also have responsibility for the application of the Quality Management System and other Company procedures and systems on your projects to ensure the company quality standards are being achieved. As well as being a team player you will also have the initiative to work alone.

As well as having excellent client relationship skills, you will also have outstanding communication skills (verbally and written) and be able to communicate the requirements of the project to other members of the project team (internally and externally).

The successful candidate will have the following personal attributes:

  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with relevant qualifications, ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming Chartered.
  • Proven leadership skills, being able to solve problems as they occur and able to make quick, tough decisions.
  • Excellent time management, networking, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Able to build relationships with staff, clients and third parties.
