Following successful handover of UK facilities, we were appointed by GlobalCenter as lead consultant for the first phase of their European roll out programme. Projects required high resilience systems with no single points of failure. N+1 dual redundancy infrastructure was designed complete with DC rectified plant for telecoms equipment. The five initial projects included two sites in Germany undertaken in conjunction with our local partner. In Munich a 6,000m² facility was formed from the conversion of a former post office headquarters building. The six month programme was particularly challenging as was the limited space available for plant. In Frankfurt an 11,000m² facility has been developed from the conversion of a four storey former cold food storage centre. An 11MW power supply was required by the project which was also completed on a fast track programme with full design drawings being prepared in 6 weeks.
