The existing building was originally used by the Financial Times to house it's printing presses. This project involved adding two mezzanine floors and fitting out 12,000m² of tenant space divided into 4,000m² of high quality office space and the remaining 8,000m² into data centre space for sub-letting. Building works were designed under a phased construction plan, with phase 1 (£11.5m construction value) taking 9 months from concept to handover. Construction issues were simplified by the design and procurement of a packaged plantroom which allowed the installation and testing of the site's generators, HV and LV switchboards, transformers, chilled water circulation plant and air chilled chillers before delivery to the site.
