To deliver a truly sustainable project it is essential to consider the 'triple bottom line' of environmental, social and economic considerations.
Therefore from our knowledge, experience, and understanding of sustainable solutions the Foreman Roberts Concepts Team will:-
- Deliver projects offering excellence in sustainability but with due consideration to capital costs.
- Develop solutions with high efficiency, comfort and performance, reducing carbon emissions to the lowest practical levels.
- Offer sustainable solutions which meet your business requirements and so assure your project's success.

Foreman Roberts concept team uses a variety of computer modeling software to provide energy simulations for buildings - allowing early stage design options to be tested in terms of carbon emissions and thermal comfort. We currently use the following software tools in our analysis:- |
|
| |
|
 |
- EDSL TAS
- EcoTect
- Radiance
- Excel Energy Profiling
- Microclimate Analysis

Part L, Renewable Targets |
From our National Calculation Methodology approved computer modelling analysis techniques we can provide in-depth calculations to advise design teams on the most economic and practical means of compliance with the Building Regulations Part L. We can also provide in-depth analyses to assess the most effective renewable technologies to meet Local Authority targets or other carbon reduction targets. |

The Foreman Roberts Concepts Team employs engineers registered as Low Carbon Consultants. Our Low Carbon Consultants (LCCs) work on the design of new buildings and refurbishments forms an essential part of the design team, to deliver buildings which exceed minimum standards of energy efficiency and confirm compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.

BREEAM, EcoHomes, Code for Sustainable Homes |
Foreman Roberts Concepts Team has registered BREEAM, EcoHomes assessors. We can undertake assessment work in relation BREEAM Offices and EcoHomes, from advice to full assessments. In this regard we also have fully qualified NHER Standard Assessment Procedures (SAP) Assessors, to undertake the SAP calculations for domestic premises and the Energy Performance Certificates, which form a part of Home Information Packs.
As the Code for Sustainable Homes has now superseded EcoHomes we have upgraded all our assessors qualifications to meet this new standard. |

British Council for Offices (BCO) |
Projects need to be guided towards a low carbon future. The Mayor's draft update to the London Plan increases renewable targets from 10% to 20% in early 2008.
Undoubtedly this target will be tough without radical changes to the way buildings are designed and operated currently. As a practice, we firmly believe there are many ways to achieve environmental targets, and that we should remain flexible in our approach – not constrained by conventional thinking. We make no apologies for challenging conventional approaches; as can be seen in our preparation of the British Council for Offices response to the proposed changes to the London Plan.
